Evaluating the Effectiveness of AI Chatbots in Enhancing Thesis Statement Writing Among Iraqi EFL Learners

This study investigates the impact of AI chatbots on developing thesis statement writing skills among Iraqi EFL learners. Utilizing a quantitative experimental design, the research compares writing outcomes between a control group and an experimental group receiving AI-assisted training. Data collected through structured pre- and post-test writing assessments are analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics to determine whether AI integration yields statistically significant improvements in producing clear, coherent, and well-structured arguments. By evaluating instructional effectiveness, the study aims to provide empirical evidence regarding the pedagogical value of AI chatbots in EFL classrooms. Ultimately, the findings offer practical insights into leveraging AI tools to enhance academic writing capabilities within the Iraqi higher education system.
