Academic Passion and its Reelationship with Acaademic Achievement Amoong Students of the History Department at Al-Mustansiriya University

The current study aims to identify the relationship between academic passion and academic achievement among students of the History Department at Al-Mustansiriya University. The researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical method, conducting the study at the College of Basic Education at Al-Mustansiriya University.The research sample consisted of 176 students from the History Department. The researcher used the Academic Passion Scale developed by Poisnk (2016) and translated by Saleh (2020), which consists of 50 items, ensuring its validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods.
The study revealed the following key findings:
- The research sample exhibits academic passion, as the arithmetic mean (158.367) exceeds the hypothetical mean (150).
- No statistically significant differences in academic passion were found based on gender (male vs. female).
- A positive correlation exists between academic passion and academic achievement among students in the History Department at Al-Mustansiriya University.
