Heat island in cities (Baghdad city as an example)

Abstract

 we mean by the thermal island in the city, is the high temperature inside the city, above its rates recorded in the region, as the phenomenon of thermal rise begins to emerge from the moment we enter the city. Then it grows as we penetrate into it, to reach its peak in the central region. This phenomenon comes as a result of the human activities that humans have introduced into urban areas and the change in the shape of the natural surface of the earth, which leads to the creation of a local climate in it that differs clearly from its surroundings in the rural areas. 1980 - 2017 is moving upwards, and this is shown by the general trend line. (20.12), the general trend of the maximum temperature in Baghdad station during the study period 1980-2017 is moving towards the rise, and this is what the general trend line has shown. (30), as we find that the year (1992) recorded the lowest annual rate of (6 and 28). The general trend of the minimum temperature in Baghdad station during the study period 1980-2017 was also shown, and this was shown by the general trend line, and as we note that the year (2004) recorded the highest annual rate during the study period, amounting to (3 and 17). We find that the year (1982-1983) recorded the lowest annual rate of (3 and 14).
