An Analytical Study of the Extent to Which Transitional Scaffolding Is Employed in Developing Receptive Language Skills among Second-Grade Intermediate Female Students in Al-Anbar Governorate

The aim of this study was to conduct an analytical investigation into the extent to which transitional scaffolding is employed in developing receptive language skills among second-grade intermediate female students in Al-Anbar Governorate. The study adopted a quasi-descriptive analytical approach. The study population consisted of all Arabic language teachers in Al-Anbar Governorate, Iraq, while the sample was a purposive sample comprising (80) female teachers. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Among the most prominent findings was that the degree to which Arabic language female teachers employed transitional scaffolding skills was at a moderate level. In addition, no statistically significant differences were found between the mean scores of the overall degree of employing transitional scaffolding skills attributable to years of teaching experience.
