The research aims to identify the deliberative dimensions of personal references in the novel "The King in His Pajamas" by Khudair Faleh Al-Zaidi, as a linguistic and narrative tool that contributes to building meaning and directing discourse within the narrative text.
The analysis started from the deliberative perspective that links language to its context, relying on interpretation mechanisms that explain the impact of the conversational denominator in determining the connotations of the signal.
The research concluded that Al-Zaidi was able to employ the references in a deliberate and conscious use, and allowed the reader an open interpretation space that goes beyond the limits of language to more intellectual and humanitarian dimensions.
