The Ego and the Social Order in Lovers' Poetry until the End of the Umayyad Era

This study aims to demonstrate and explore the presence of the poetic ego and its interactions with the other social system. It seeks to delve into how this ego is formed and influenced by the social structure to which it belongs. The focus is on highlighting the interacting connotations between the poet's self—with all the hopes, pains, and aspirations it carries Individuality - and between the society that represents the other, especially the surrounding society, as the research depends on a deep analysis of the poetic textual structure in the poetry of lovers, not only as a means of self-expression, but as a tool to explore the extent of compatibility or conflict between individual desire and social standards, as the poet’s use of the opposite duality is not limited It does not only highlight the contradictions of subjectivity, but also goes beyond that to reveal the contrast between what lies within the poet’s soul and what is imposed by the reality surrounding him.
