The Attitudinal and Behavioral Openness and its relation to intellectual humility among health employees

The current research aims to identify metacognitive awareness of listening and academic hope, as well as identify the correlation between metacognitive awareness of listening and academic hope among university students. The research sample consisted of (212) students from the English Department- College of Education for Humanities- University of Wasit were chosen randomly. To achieve the research aims, the researchers adopted the Vandergrift et al.(2006) scale for metacognitive awareness of listening, which consisted of (20) items, and Farhad et al. (2024) scale for academic hope, which consisted of (18) items. The research results that there are metacognitive awareness of listening, there are academic hope, and there are a positive correlation between metacognitive awareness of listening and academic hope. In light of the results, the researchers developed a number of recommendations and suggestions.
