The role of mental maps in facilitating the process of learning and teaching in Geography

Abstract

he aim of the research is to get to know the role of mental maps in facilitating the process of learning and teaching  Geography for the school year 2022-2023.The achievement of this aim depepends on (The Zero Hypothesis)

The sample involved in the study was determined with a group of secondary students/fifth stage (lierary section) for the school year 2022-2023 .The research depends on a research design called a (design of two independent groups with one independent variable).The sample of the study was determined. An equivalent scale was used with the students involved in the study ;it is a (t-test) with two independent samples regarding the variables ( age (month) , experience). An achievement test was set up caliculating its( reliability, stability, discriminatory powers and items' difficulty factors ). It was found that there are statistical differences in average mark and performance among the students of the two groups involved in the test for the benefit of the group that used mental maps in Geography . According to these results ;I have reached out to anumber of coclusions, recommendations and  suggestions .
