Pages of internal developments in the United States of America under President Franklin Pierce (1853-1857)

Abstract

The research paper deals with U.S. internal developments during the reign of the U.S. president Franklin Pierce (1853-1857). The research included two main axes in which the first one tackles the beginning of the president's growing up and his intellectual and political formation and how does it later on affect the nature of events and internal developments in the United States of America after Pierce occupied the position the presidency and his role and the impact of his political trends upon the political and developments events which led to sharp division between the northern and southern states that paved the way to the waging of U.S. civil  war (1861-1865).  

Concerning the second axis, the researcher devotes the rest of the paper to study the nature of the internal political developments during the rule of Pierce (1853- 1857) and how they cast shadow on the U.S. political life, the political parties in particular. In addition, the second axis also deals with the most important economic and educational developments in the United States of America
