Abstract

The research addressed the study of historical narratives in the life of the poet Al-Nimr ibn Tulab Al-Ukli. There is a clear contradiction between the poetic texts, which are considered the true historical source for translating or reading the poet's life in a correct manner, and the news, events and adventures told by the narrators, which are not suitable for commenting on the topics of the poet's creative experiences themselves. The research raised this problem and the difference between what the narrators narrated and the content of the poem, whether in pride, elegy or otherwise. In the opening panels, poets often use women's names, which are not necessarily real women who existed in reality; however, this artistic form (women's names) was exploited by narrators and newsmen, who wrote about the poet's alleged relationships with women, and these became a biography and history of his life.
