Al-Jahiz's works constitute a problematic milestone in Arab culture. The nature of the texts imprinted by his pen has been, and continues to be, a source of attraction and exclusion, depending on the recipient's horizon and the cognitive climate to which he belongs. They are replete with semantic and intellectual connotations, open to multiple readings and interpretations, Hence, the study sheds light on the modern reception of Al-Jahiz's personality. Dr. Hammadi Samoud's reading is considered one of the most distinguished readings in this field, as it works to blend heritage and modernity and to identify between them. Therefore, the study seeks to reveal the manifestations of modernity in Al-Jahiz and the prospects for the modern reception of his propositions, which serves modern rhetorical studies.
