Academic Integrity and Its Relationship to Cognitive Curiosity Among University Students

The purpose of this research is to investigate the concept of academic integrity and its relationship with cognitive curiosity among university students. The researcher adopted a descriptive correlational methodology. The research sample consisted of (100) undergraduate students enrolled in the morning study at Al-Mustansiriyah University. The findings revealed statistically significant differences in favor of the mean score for academic integrity, indicating that the students exhibit a high level of academic integrity. Additionally, statistically significant differences were observed in favor of the mean score for cognitive curiosity, suggesting that students generally demonstrate a higher level of epistemic curiosity compared to the assumed average of the scale. Furthermore, the results indicated a positive correlation between academic integrity and epistemic curiosity among university students. The study concludes with a set of recommendations and suggestions.
