تعد الاضداد الثنائية التي جاء بها العالم الانثربولوجي كلود ليفي سترواس اساسا للتحليل والنقد الادبي للاساطير العالمية. مشكلة البحث تكمن في عدم استثمار هذه الاضداد الثنائية في التحليل الادبي لروايات حديثة مقتبسة عن اساطير عالمية فضلا عن عدم اتباع منهجية واضحة للتعرف على هذه الاضداد او حتى وجود تصنيف معتمد لها. يهدف البحث الى ايجاد طريقة للتعرف على الاضداد الثنائية في العمل الادبي وتصنيفها حسب منهج واضح. اختارت الباحثتان رواية العروس الشبح لكاتبتها يانكشي شو كونها تستند على اساطير صينية للتعرف على الاضداد الثنائية فيها وتصنيف هذه الاضداد الى ثلاثة انواع وهي وجود مقابل العدم والتواجد التكميلي او التعريفي و اخيرا النوع الثالث هو الاضداد الارتباطية . لباحثتان اتباع هذا التصنيف يسهل عملية التعرف على الاضداد الثنائية كما انها تضع الناقد الادبي على الطريق الصحيح للتحليل جاعلا التحليل اكثر عمقا. من اهم التوصيات ان يتم اعتماد هذا التصنيف وتعميمه عند النقد الادبي للروايات المعاصرة المقتبسة من اساطير عالمية.
